In the Novel Brian’s situation begins to look hopeless to him, He refocuses himself by concentrating on “Things to do” and what his teachers said about being “motivated” He stops looking at what he does not have like food and begins to look at what he does have? What does Brian have in his pocket?
How important do you think is Brian’s Attitude to his survival? How will his attitude affect his ability to survive ?

Some of Brian’s things to do is to get some food like berries & To build shelter.The stuff that he has in his pockets are 68 coins total,thehachet,a figernailclipper,a twenty- dollar bill,and himself. His ela teacher MR.PERPICH said stay positive and get on top of things in other words get motivated.
brian has some change a bill fold with a twenty a fingernail clipper and some odd pices of paper. he looked down mother and saw the HATCHET his mother had given him. it was hanging from his pants. Brian’s teacher had always said stay positive and get motivated. he has to stay on top of everything.
Brian did not have a good attitude because
he did not have no food or water.

i think it is very important it will affect it by him not being able to do alot of thing he could drownand die
Brian haves a quarter/three dimes/a nickel/two pennies/a fingernail clipper/a bill fold with a twenty doller bill in his pocket.Brian must stay postive/he remembers MR.Perpich tell him/stay postive and you are your mots valuable asset.
Brian take’s his survival very serious.
