Election Film Festival

First Let me say how proud I am of all the hard work my classes put in this last month. We watched movies on Brainpop, researched on the internet, watched the candidates debates and really learned about how democracym elections and our government work. We started making these films on October 7th and in just 3 short weeks we have 8 good films. Many of you learned how to use IMovie and Keynote software and the result is our first effort of 2008 -200 school year is excellent. Congratulations.

  1. To the students of PS 373,
Your movies are wonderful! Not only have you learned so much about the election process, but you are now teaching everyone who watches your movies. You are very talented students. I look forward to seeing more movies throughout the school year.

  2. All I have to say is “Wow, what an excellent job!!” I am very impressed, not only with your use of technology, but also with your knowledge about the US government and the importance of voting. Keep up the “SLAMMIN” work.

  3. [...] November 3, 2008 by c2meb4u Today I visited a colleague’s site on wordpress and I saw web2.0 being put to good use. The main thing that impressed me was not the use of the technology, but the knowledge the students gained while preparing this work. Tomorrow is Election Day, and if you know anyone who is uncertain about voting let them check out this link  http://stufffromthelab.wordpress.com/mock-election-film-festival/ [...]

  5. Wow, fantastic!! I’m so glad to see that our next generation knows so much about what makes our country so great. You did such a great job, I think these movies should be TV commercials! Keep up the hard work, I learned a lot!
