Giant pandas genes are like other bears genes. But the smaller panda like the red panda is more like a racoon.
Before 1869 it is believed that no one outside china had ever seen a panda.
Scientists have had to study panda’s in zoo to learn about them.
Giant panda have always had secrets long ago people hardly eveyr saw the Giant Panda
Habitat: Pandas live in the country called china. Pandas live in the mountains. One of their favorite foods is bamboo and it is a full time job to eat they eat all day long. But every 100 meals a Panda eats 99 of them are bamboo. Bamboo i s tough grass.
It grows to be very tall. Usually 10 to 12 feet. People use bamboo to make baskets furniture and even houses.

During the winter bamboo stops growing on the mountain tops
Pandas go down snowy mountains to get other food. They have enough body fat to hibernate. Pandas like to be alone. They mark their space by scratching marks into the barks of trees.
Panda only go near each other during mating. Mating season lasts from March until may. But the female only want to mate a few days during this time.
When pregnant the females panda makes a den in caves or hollow trees. New born Pandas are white and very tiny when born. They have no teeth and they cannot see. ONe month later they look like a full size panda.

  2. Giovannni Continuing Wolves

Baby Wolfes get al ot of loving care from the mother when they are born. In fact wolf parents are among the best parents in the world. When the wolf pups are born their mother stay close to them. She usually does not have to leave the pups to look for food because the father and the other members of the family bring food to them.
A group puppie wolves that is born at the same time is called a litter. Their may be 5 to 14 puppies in a litter average litter size is 6. Wolves babies is blind at birth. They weigh about pound, and they have floppy ears.
Baby wolf’s live in a den. A den is a cave or hole in the ground. Wolves sometimes use their own den or one built by foxes. They usually have more than one den so they move. The tunnel of a den may be up to thirty long. After about 12 days the babies open their eyes which are blue at first. For the first few weeks they eat only mother milk. After theat they start eating more and more meat. The mother eats the meat first and partially digest so they babies can handle it. The mother brings it back up and feeds it to her baby. They grow very fast and look like adult wolves at 3 months and start to hunt by six months. Very early in life wolves begin to make their own order with a leader. They start to fight with each other to see who is stronger like arm wrestiling this tells them who the leader is. One eventually will roll over and show its belly to show that it give ups.

  4. David is writing about boa constricotors and their close family member anacondas Boa constricntors are non poisonous snakes that in the Boidae Family. They dont’ poison you they just strangle you to death. They have strong powerful jaws and long penetrating teeth. Many people have pets that are boa constrictors. Boa’s live in trppical forests in Mexico.

The Anaconda is considered the biggest snake in the world. These snakes may reach lengths of over 29 feet. There are many exaggerated stories about anacondas being much longer, but they cannot be confirmed.

The Green Anaconda is dark green in color with black oval patches on its back. This drab pattern blends the snake in well with the wet, dense vegetations of its habitat. The sides have similar spots with yellow centers. The Yellow Anaconda is true to its name and is mostly yellow with similar black spots. The scales of the yellow and black underside of the lower tail on these Anacondas have a particular pattern which is unique to each snake. It’s a form of identification, like a human fingerprint.

Snakes have a cavity called a cloaca which is where the intestinal and genitourinary tracks empty. Anacondas have spurs on either side of the cloaca. The cloaca of the Anaconda has a gland which emits a foul-smelling musk. This brownish musk is quite poisonous to small organisms. This may prevent ticks and leeches from attaching themselves here. When Anacondas are out of the water for long periods of time they usually become infested with ticks.

The Anaconda come equipped with a large head and a thick neck. Its eyes and nostrils are positioned on the top of the head, enabling the Anaconda to breathe and to see its prey while its stocky body lays submerged under water. The extremely muscular Anaconda is a constrictor and is not poisonous; however, it still has teeth and powerful jaws that it utilizes to clench onto its prey. It grabs its victim and pulls it underwater, drowning the prey.
