 Teaching point to understand simple timelines concept of long ago as a opposed to recent past.
Social Studies > Learning Standards > 1.2.3 – distinguish between near and distant past and interpret simple timelines.
Grade(s) K-2, 3-5, 6-8
Time lines are graphic representations of a period of time for instants you could do a timeline of your day your week or your year or your entire life. Eventually we will be making a timeline of Christopher Columbus’ voyages. Today we are going to make a time-line of What you did so far today on the card right six things you did this morning  so far. Starting with getting up.
