How to make a variable in Scratch

What is a variable in Scratch

variable is a changeable value recorded in Scratch‘s memory. Variables can only hold one value at a time, unlike lists. These values can be either numbers or strings — any text.

This morning I will show you how to make a variable in Scratch.

Go to the Variable Tab and

click on

Make a Variable

Give your variable a name. Lets use the banana and apple as our sprites so lets make a variable called apple and a variable  called banana

 

How you can code that variable. Variables are useful in many ways lets make a simple score keeper.  Watch me and then do this yourself.
